Those who rehearse the Book of Allah establish regular prayer and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them secretly and openly hope for a commerce that will never fail.” (29 Al-Fatir)

Choose Zakat or Sadaqah!

Zakat and Sadaqah: The Essence of Islamic Charity
Obligation & Purification:
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a mandatory form of charity that purifies wealth and helps to distribute resources within the community. The Qur’an emphasizes,
“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:110)
Sadaqah: Voluntary Acts of Kindness
Beyond Obligation:
Sadaqah refers to any act of charity given voluntarily. It can be in the form of money, food, or even a kind word.
“Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Sahih Muslim) This hadith encapsulates the miraculous nature of Sadaqah: the more you give, the more you are blessed.
